Google Maps with Travel Route or Markers on Your Wix Website

Do you need a Google Map with a travel route of markers on your website? This post shows you how you can easily add these to your website.

You will first need to add an HTML iFrame to your site.

If you would like to add an HTML iFrame to a page, then click the + icon in the menu, and scroll down till you see "More". Select "More" and then select "Add HTML".

Google Maps with Markers

To add Google Maps with a travel route to the HTML iFrame, do the following:

  1. Go to Google My Maps

  2. ​Add map markers by entering your addresses into the search bar then "+ Add to map".

  3. ​Change privacy settings: Click "Share" and then Change access from "Private - only you can access" to "Public on the web".

  4. ​Go to "Settings" (3 vertical dots next to the name of the map) and select "Embed on my site".

  5. ​Copy the iframe code to your website's HTML iFrame.

  6. Change the iFrame's width and height to the desired size.

Google Maps with Travel Route

To add Google Maps with a travel route to the HTML iFrame, do the following:

  1. Go to Google My Maps

  2. ​Add map markers by entering your addresses into the search bar then "+ Add to map".

  3. ​Add travel routes by clicking the "Add Directions" icon and entering map markers in the correct order.

  4. ​Change privacy settings: Click "Share" and then Change access from "Private - only you can access" to "Public on the web".

  5. ​Go to "Settings" (3 vertical dots next to the name of the map) and select "Embed on my site".

  6. ​Copy the iframe code to your website's HTML iFrame.

  7. Change the iFrame's width and height to the desired size.
